Staff Bios: Ralph Petta
Vice President of Industry Services
Ralph Petta is Vice President-Industry Services for the Equipment Leasing Association of America (ELA). He has been with the association since April 1987. Mr. Petta's primary responsibility is managing the development of the association's industry information resources and data-collection projects, including the annual Survey of Industry Activity, Quarterly Performance Indicators Report, and Industry Compensation Survey. In addition, he oversees the development of various market segment analyses as well as other industry research and reference publications sponsored by the ELA. Mr. Petta has liaison responsibilities with several ELA constituent committees and Business Councils.
Mr. Petta is a member of the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE). He has completed the ASAE/University of Maryland Executive Development Program in Association Management and was selected to participate in the ASAE Future Leaders Conference in 1992.
Before joining ELA, Mr. Petta worked for 9 years in the office of United States Senator Sam Nunn (D-Ga), serving in a variety of professional capacities. He was Senator Nunn's legislative assistant when he left in 1987 to join the association
Mr. Petta graduated from Syracuse University in 1974, earning a B.A. degree in political science.
